2018-19 Show - Dystopia

This year, the Nutley Raider Marching Band presents their production entitled “Dystopia”. The show is presented in three sections; Heat of the Day by Pat Methany, followed by a mash-up of Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven & Hotel California by The Eagles that moves into Cape Fear by Bernstein, and concluded with Asphalt Cocktail by John Mackey. Wind arrangements are by Mr. Miguel Bolivar and percussion arrangements by Mr. Michael Wyatt & Mr. Connor Horwath.

“Dystopia” will take you into a society where order is maintained by eliminating individuality and enforcing uniformity. These ideals will be challenged when members of the society are exposed to the outside world that has been concealed from them. Amongst the chaos of revolution, will the members of the society be successful in creating change, or will they be blinded by the views of the higher powers?
