About the Trip

We are proud to announce our 2020 music department tour. This trip will be involving all band, orchestra and choir students.


Considering the size of the Nutley music program, it is vital that all students participate. Everyone contributes in our program and by students attending; we will show nation the capabilities of our students and town.

    • Round Trip Air Transportation from Newark (EWR) to Los Angeles (LAX)

    • 1st Checked Bag up to 50 lbs.

  • Lodging:

    • 5 days / 4 nights in Los Angeles area hotel

  • Meals: 

    • 4 breakfasts at hotel

    • 1 meal voucher at Disneyland

    • 1 meal voucher at Universal Studios

    • Lunch stipend at LA Farmers Market

    • 1 meal at In n' Out Burger

    • 2 dinners in LA

  • Attractions:

  • Misc:

    • Disney Performing Arts Workshop

    • 2 luggage tags

    • Overnight hall monitors

    • Motorcoach transportation in LA

    • Experienced GTN Service Host

    • Professional Liability Insurance

    • All taxes, fees and restaurant gratuities

Registration Information
  • REGISTRATION FOR THE TRIP IS CLOSED (as of 9/16/19 - 12 midnight)  

    • All students and chaperones must register online whether paying via mail or online.

    • REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Sunday, September 15, 2019


Trip Cost and Payment Information
  • Total Cost:

    • Student Quad Occupancy: $1,750.00

    • Chaperone Double Occupancy: $2,040.00

    • Chaperone Single Occupancy: $2,465.00

    • ALL prices are based on airfare being $550 (1st bag included up to 50 lbs)

    • Prices based on 75 paying participants (students)

    • Trip price subject to increase/decrease depending on airfare



  • Non-Refundable Deposit: Sunday, September 15, 2019  ($250)
    Note: Student Account money cannot be used towards your deposit!!

  • 1st Payment: Sunday, September 15, 2019 ($400.00)

  • 2nd Payment: Tuesday, October 15, 2019 ($400.00)

  • 3rd Payment: Friday, November 15, 2019 ($350.00)

  • Final Payment: Sunday, December 15, 2019 ($350.00 and/or Balance Due)

    • FONS/NMBA Donation: Each student will receive $100 towards their trip and will be applied to the last payment.


  • Payments may be made the following ways: 

    • MAIL IN to Group Travel Network:  Certified Check or Money Order - must include payment coupon from trip packet.

    • ONLINE via Group Travel Network website: Login into your account and pay via Credit Card / E-Check

      • Note: a 2.5% convenience fee applies

    • STUDENT ACCOUNT: Contact your NMBA or FONS treasurer to apply student account funds.

  • No payments are to be sent into school or given to your student's music teacher!  Everything is handled either with Group Travel Network or the treasurers (in the case of student account payments).

Students may use any amount of their Student Accounts to put towards any other payments besides the deposit.

NMBA provides numerous Student Account fundraising opportunities, some with up to 50% profits.  We have started many of them earlier for students to take advantage of. Please visit our Fundraisers page for more information.

Trip Updates (as of 10-16-19)
  • Trip Price Reduction

    • Each student travelers price will be reduced by $25.00.

    • This will reflect on your Group Travel Network account soon.

    • Also remember that NMBA/FONS will be applying $100 towards student travelers final payment of the trip, IF the family is a NMBA and/or FONS member.

  • Student T-Shirt and Roommate Requests

    • Students have received the forms to fill out for t-shirts & roommates for the trip through Schoology. 

      • THESE ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, 10/18 (Extenstion)
  • ID for Travel
    • Travelers who are 18 & over will need a Government Issued Photo ID for going through TSA security.

      • This may be a drivers license or passport.

    • Travelers who are 17 & under do not technically need a photo ID. 

      • It is suggested that students who are 17 and have a drivers license bring that with them.

      • It is suggested that students who are 17 & under that do not have a license bring a photocopy of their birth certificate.

    • ALL TRAVELERS will be required to bring their NHS SCHOOL ID on the trip.
