As we prepare to kick off the 2025–26 school year, we’re excited to share important news, upcoming events, and fundraising opportunities — including the launch of our Fall Mums & Garden Décor Fundraiser and the announcement of the NHS Music Department Trip to Los Angeles, California in March 2026.

🎵 NHS Music Department Trip to California – Spring 2026

We are thrilled to announce that the NHS Music Department Trip to Los Angeles, California has been officially approved by the Nutley Board of Education!

🗓️ March 25–30, 2026

🎶 Eligible Students: Those enrolled in a music ensemble at NHS, including Orchestra, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Treble Choir, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Jazz Lab.

This unforgettable trip will include educational and performance experiences in one of the most exciting musical cities in the country. Each year, students have fully funded their trips through fundraising — and we’re here to help your family do the same!

📍 Trip Interest Meeting

All families of eligible students are encouraged to attend. Enter through the main entrance on Franklin Avenue.

Join us immediately following the trip meeting! We’ll review this year’s events, fundraisers, and how you can get involved. All music parents are encouraged to attend.

🎉 Marching Band Parent Meet & Greet

Nutley Museum, 65 Church Street - 6:00 PM

Enjoy a kid-free evening with fellow band parents, learn what to expect this season, and discover how to get involved.

💸 Fundraising Opportunities

Music Boosters provides over a dozen opportunities each year for students to earn fundraising credits to offset various costs associated with being part of the music program at NHS and JHWMS, including trips, participation fees and more! There is something for everyone!

In addition to Football Mania currently running, our Fall Mums & Garden Décor Fundraiser is now open! This annual favorite is a great way to add seasonal color to your home. A beautiful variety of mums and fall garden signs are available — and a portion of every sale goes toward your student’s fundraising credits. Orders are due September 8, with pickup currently scheduled for Tuesday, September 23.
